Top 3 Weekly Switch Releases 10/9/20

Hello everyone, Mr Zee here! Every week, Nintendo Switch releases a news section highlighting the new games made available on the eshop over the course of the week. I’ll be going through these listings and do some digging on the titles and present to you my top 3 games from the list! Keep in mind that this list is purely opinion based and I would love to hear some responses on what you would choose for your top 3 games of the week! So, without further ado!

#3 I Am Dead

Annapurna Interactive has really made quite the charming game concept here. In I Am Dead, you plays as the ghost of the late Morris Lupton and you are tasked with locating all of the other ghosts residing within your island village to save it from impending doom! How do you find these ghosts? By diving straight into the objects that meant most to them in life, listening to the people who knew them best, and uncovering piece after piece of lore about the deceased and the island town! It’s a very clever narrative and is sure to spark joy with anyone who loves a game with good world-building!

#2 Juiced!

This game by TimothyvanderHoeven is an homage to classic 2d platformers, but chock full of quirkiness and personality that you could easily get lost in it! The simple pixel graphics will scratch that nostalgic itch, wile the high action boss fights can keep you on your toes just like the classics did! Check it out if you’re feeling up for a good throwback style!

#1 Game Dev Tycoon

It’s no surprise that this gem made it to the #1 spot on this list. Game Dev Tycoon by Greenheart Games took the internet by storm back in 2012. Though this was greatly in part to the popularity of the game among well known streamers, as well as a famously sassy method of dealing with piracy by the creator in making a fake version of the game and uploading the torrent himself! But I digress. This new Switch release features the recent Pirate Mode which adds an extra high amount of difficulty to the game, and cross-platform save files so that you don’t have to start from scratch!

So what are your thoughts on this week’s releases? Anything you feel should have made the top 3? Anything you feel shouldn’t have made it? Let us know in the comments below or on our social media platforms! I hope to hear from you soon!
